EP15: Expectations vs Agreements

Relationships don’t have to be hard. The effort you continue to put into your relationships might be going into the most inefficient places. You might be sabotaging your relationships because you just don’t know better. For instance, are you making demands or requests of others in your relationships? Are you requiring certain things from others that you’re not doing yourself? How are you disregarding the opinions and beliefs of the other person in the relationship? If you’re placing expectations onto another person, you’re purposely looking for reasons to sabotage the relationship. The only thing you can expect from expectations is disappointment, letdown, bitterness and resentment. Continue reading “EP15: Expectations vs Agreements”

EP14: Forgiveness

Forgiveness is to stop feeling resentment toward someone for not meeting your expectations. I like to say it’s to let someone off the hook for the way we feel–since what we feel is only a result of our interpretation of what we think happened. We all make mistakes; we do the best we can with who we are and what we know at this time. True forgiveness is present when compassion isn’t clouded by resentment. There’s personal power in forgiveness because when you forgive someone you demonstrate grace and love. This episode lets you in on a little secret about forgiveness and why it holds the key to freedom for your heart. Continue reading “EP14: Forgiveness”

EP13: Healing Wounds

Happy Father’s Day! Just like our fathers kissed and bandaged our boo-boos and kept us safe from the boogeyman, as we age and become more aware, it’s up to us to heal our own wounds. Continue reading “EP13: Healing Wounds”

EP12: The Benefits of Journaling

Journaling can be a life-changing spiritual living tool! In the same way you seek a therapist to listen to your concerns, dilemmas, problems, sadness or happiness, we can listen to ourselves! We can do our own inner probing–not that a journal should replace a therapist for some, but it could be a nice supplement. With a journal, we take a deep dive into our minds, our hearts and our soul. It’s a powerful eye-opening practice. Find out the proven health benefits of journaling:

What is eating for nutrition? To piggyback on last week’s episode, we’re still talking about food! This time we’re talking about eating for nutrition with Camille Macres, chef and founder of Recipe RX. Continue reading “EP11: Eating For Nutrition”

EP10: Mindful Eating

This episode’s about mindful eating. Are you eating just to eat, or are you consciously aware of why and what you’re eating? How do you become aware of food, its ingredients and how it’s prepared in order to make better decisions for your dietary needs? Continue reading “EP10: Mindful Eating”

EP9: Declutter Your Life

It’s time to get serious about decluttering your life. But to declutter means so much more than cleaning your desk off, or donating clothes to Goodwill. So much more is involved. It’s actually a job for your mind. Continue reading “EP9: Declutter Your Life”

EP8: Unconditional Love & Relationships

In honor of Mother’s Day, let’s look at unconditional love. What is unconditional love and how can we express this in all of our relationships? Is it even possible to? This is what we explore in today’s episode. Continue reading “EP8: Unconditional Love & Relationships”

EP7: Resistance & Flow

Go with flow. We can’t control what happens only how we choose to see what does. What if we allowed things to unfold as they will, and what does happen is a better outcome than we would have even known to ask for. Lao Tzu, founder of Taoism and author of ‘Tao te Ching’ says, “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Continue reading “EP7: Resistance & Flow”
